Our displays are made with one goal in mind: to sell your beautiful jewelry! Well-displayed jewelry is sure to increase your sales and client satisfaction. While making each display, we consider spacing, surface area, backdrop, ease of transport, and durability, in order to ensure your jewelry is the star of the show, and easy to show to your clients. Our shapes and styles are each designed to draw the eye toward your sparkly beauties!
From color, to size, to shape, our displays are designed to be as customizable as possible. We want YOU to have input and options, as you know the needs of your studio best. Almost all of our displays can be cut to varying lengths depending on your jewelry needs, and can be set in any pattern you need in order to organize and showcase your jewelry. We also offer engraving, gold fill, and other exciting customizable features.
We are committed to only using the finest of hardwoods, finishes, stains, and materials for your displays. We prioritize attention to detail, making sure every display is sanded, stained, and finished to the very best of our ability. Each display is quality-checked at every step in the process, and if anything slips through the cracks, we guarantee free repairs. See more about our business model, and repair guarantee, in the "Our Team" and "FAQ" pages.
Our scratch-proof clips come in two color options: clear and black. The black clips have a slightly looser hold than the clear, but both can securely hold a wide variety of gauges and sizes. The clips can be rotated to hold circular jewelry, curves, or barbells. We can also pair clips closer together to specifically showcase pairs of nipple jewelry! If you are interested in other clip colors, or VersiClip clips, please notify us when placing your order.
Our holes for threadless ends are drilled directly into the wood, for a snug and flush fit. These holes hold the ends tight enough that the display can be tipped or lifted without the jewelry falling out. Threadless holes can be arranged in virtually any pattern: decorative, or neat rows and columns.
We do not currently offer threadless posts as a setting.
For threaded ends, we install 1/4” threaded posts into the wood, that hold the jewelry slightly above the display surface. We currently offer both 16g and 14g posts. Posts are held tight enough to never fall out of the display, but loose enough that they can be replaced if needed.
Our pin setting is intended to display almost any length of chain, or any size of charm! These pins are secure in the display and can be set in a variety of patterns to accommodate dangling or draped chains. These pins can be used to hang one end of a chain or a charm, or can be paired for chains to be strung between them.
Listed below are the standard woods and stains we offer. If you'd like to see samples of woods or stains in person, contact us and we can mail you a set. If you have an idea for a wood or stain that is not listed, email us and we can let you know what is possible. There is no extra charge for any wood or stain. However, if you would like more than one stain used on a single display or box, there is a $20 fee.
Natural Maple displays are not stained, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood. Maple can vary widely in grain pattern, but most often features lateral, wavy lines. Color ranges from tan to light tan.
Natural Walnut displays are not stained, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood. Walnut is known for having gorgeous grain patterns, including lateral stripes, circular “eyes,” and concentric waves. Color is normally a medium-to-dark brown, with the occasional light or dark streak.
Black Maple displays are the best option for a uniform, smooth black display. Grain patterns are mostly hidden beneath the dye.
Black Ash displays are great if you want a black display that still showcases the features of the wood. Grain patterns show through the dye, resulting in stripes, waves, or more complex patterns on the display and a slightly rougher texture.
White Maple displays appear more uniform in texture than White Ash displays. The grain patterns slightly show through the dye, but are more hidden than with White Ash. This option is great for a simple, clean, smooth white display.
As Ash takes white dye slightly better than maple, White Ash displays are the “brightest” white displays we offer. Grain patterns show through the dye, revealing the natural lines and patterns of the wood, and resulting in a slightly rougher texture. This option is great for bright white displays that still showcase the wood.
Dark Grey Maple displays are the color of graphite (a bit darker than cement) and are great for an industrial, modern look in your case. The Maple is smooth and doesn't show grain pattern, which combined with the neutral color will make your jewelry shine.
Dark Grey Ash displays are great if you want a graphite-colored display that still showcases the features of the wood. Grain patterns show through the dye, resulting in stripes, waves, or more complex patterns on the display, as well as a slightly rougher texture.
Our Merlot dye is a deep red wine color. Merlot Maple displays are uniform in texture, with variations in dye color that range from a deep maroon to a brighter red. These displays come alive when hit with light.

Light Grey Maple displays are great for adding a bright & clean look to your case without solely relying on white displays. These are a great way to add a pop of color while still maintaining a light and neutral color theme. Maple displays are smooth and uniform in texture and color.

Our hand-mixed pastel Lavender dye can be used on an entire display, or just on the sides for an extra bit of flair. It is bright enough to draw attention, yet soft enough to not detract attention from your jewelry. On Lavender Ash displays, the wood grain patterns can be seen under the dye.

As you may know, Obscureye Designs operates out of Asheville, NC. While our team, our pets, and our workshop are safe, our community was, and continues to be, devastated by this storm. We are returning to work at LIMITED CAPACITY while we balance house repairs, internet and water issues, and dealing with the grief and destruction of our town. During this time, our communication may be spotty, and orders may take longer to ship. We welcome and deeply appreciate your orders, but please be patient with us as we get back on our feet. Your support means the world to us <3
With Love,
CK and Lee
